Some time ago, the training coordinator at my job asked me if there were
any training courses I was interested in taking. I gave the question
some serious thought and decided I wanted more "computer training." It's
such a blanket statement since there are so many facets of "computers"
ranging from networking to web designing to programming, and I'm sure
there are more avenues that I've never even heard of. But with more
consideration, my interests began to lean toward web designing and
programming. Avoiding the long story, the training coordinator enrolled
me in HTML 101 to get me started. I've since put in my request for the
next HTML class and CSS 101; so while the road will surely not be short,
I think I'm off to a healthy start in gaining new skills to open new
possibilities within the company. But until the next batch of training
begins, I'm taking the reverse approach of reading code and trying to
decipher it "backward" - otherwise known as tinkering. :)
Since I'm an office assistant, I do not have the opportunity to practice
